There is no shortage of lists of UK shipping companies and almost all of them are the same twelve names in a different order. The useful question is narrower and nobody had written it down: which of them will tell you a price before you hand over your parcel details and an email address. Sixteen were read on 10 September 2026 and four will. This page is that answer company by company, with what each one publishes and what it does not.
The four that publish a price
Royal Mail publishes the fullest grid of anyone: 24 rows of service by size with a branch price, an online price and the limits, cheapest parcel £3.95 online. Evri publishes eight weight-and-size bands on its home page from £2.70. Parcel2Go publishes a headline £2.39 and, uniquely, a price on every destination page. Parcelforce publishes a weight ladder from £11.95 up to 5kg to £21.40 up to 30kg. Between them they are the only published pricing in this market.
The five that publish none
DPD, Yodel, Whistl, DX and ParcelBroker were each read in full and carry no price for sending a parcel anywhere on their public sites. Every route to a number runs through a quote form that asks for the parcel and both postcodes first. That is a legitimate way to sell carriage and it is recorded here as what it is: a choice about what to publish rather than an absence of prices.
The seven that could not be read
Interparcel, ParcelHero, Parcel Monkey, Transglobal Express, ParcelCompare, UPS and DHL Parcel UK refused the request or did not answer it. Those are recorded separately from the five above, and the distinction matters: not knowing what a company publishes is not the same as knowing it publishes nothing. They may well show a person with a browser a figure this record cannot see.
Carriers and brokers are not the same thing
Half the names in any list of shipping companies do not carry anything. A booking broker resells carriers' services at negotiated rates, which is why Parcel2Go's destination pages price services called Evri Standard Parcelshop and DPD Lite by name. Comparing a broker's price against a carrier's published one is comparing a negotiated rate against a list price, and both are real, but they answer different questions.
